Jersey Club is everywhere—and for good reason. Originating in New Jersey and influenced by neighboring Baltimore Club sounds, this fast-paced, innovative style of music is undoubtedly addictive. I sat down with 1-800-RAZ, a Jersey-born, North Carolina-based producer/DJ/jack-of-all-trades–and one of my personal favorite talents in the genre. We discussed his journey into Jersey Club from a young age, the music that inspires him, his opinions on whip cracks and gun clicks, and where he sees his music going in the future.
